Making Reusable bags. 

During weeks 7 &9  Room 2 all worked hard to make reusable bags to sell as part of our inquiry.

During our inquiry this term we were looking at ways we could reduce the amount of plastic we use everyday.  One way we thought of was to make our own reusable shopping bags so we did not have to get given plastic bags everytime we went shopping.  

Some children brought in old pillow cases we could turn into bags. Then everyone had a go at sewing on buttons to make the bags look creative and funky.  

Lastly we priced the bags and put up posters advertising them around the school. 

Selling the bags at the front gate was heaps of fun and I discovered we had some great sales people in our class. 

WELL DONE EVERYONE ON A FANTASTIC EFFORT. 

We are donating the raised money to the Seacleaners foundation. We decided we want the Seacleaner volunteers the continue to keep our seas clean and free of plactic that can damage ocean life.
