Matariki.
 This week we have been celebrating Matariki. We first talked about what it meant and wrote about how we celebrate things in our own families.






On Wednesday we made vegetable soup! Thanks to everyone who brought in vegetables. We had fun chopping, peeling, grating and tasting the vegetables before they went in. Tasting it was fun too even though it had turned purple because of the purple carrots!

 Over the last two weeks we have been practicing two songs about Matariki and on Friday at positive assembly we sang them to Totara and Kauri team children, parents and teachers. We had all made special Star crowns too.
